What I Do
As the President and Founder of the Career Coaching
Club, I help career services professionals (coaches,
counselors and consultants) who want to be wildly successful at
building their solopreneur businesses on the Internet. I lead
and guide members in all club activities, approve all club
resources, and seek out new and cutting-edge opportunities for
club members to grow their businesses.
An Associate Coach for Milana Leshinsky's Coaching
Business Mastery program, I help coaching students implement
the premier Coaching Millions system. My training experience also
includes teaching marketing courses to student coaches at Career
Coach Institute for two years, including developing content for
the training program, The Marketing Challenge.
As an Executive Career Coach, I help executives
make friends with change to advance or transition in their careers.
I challenge them to adopt career marketing and branding attitudes
while accepting responsibility for their own job security.
Since 1986 I have helped people conquer career challenges as
a career coach, recruiter, employment consultant, and business
developer.
What My Business Looks Like
My coaching business consists of two niches: 1) Sales and Marketing
Executives wanting to make radical career changes; and 2) Career
Professionals (coaches, counselors and consultants) who want to
build a successful solopreneur business. Delivery of all of my
services is done via telephone, email, Internet and fax. My business
is totally virtual - I have never seen the faces of most of my
clients as I work with people all around the world!
Why My Business Makes Me Sing
As a coach, there is nothing more rewarding than the moment when
a client "gets it," when the light bulb comes on and he says,
"I never thought of that before!" Working from my home office
with my small dog, Yoda, at my feet; opening the windows when
weather permits; and making my own decisions on how to run my
business - all contribute to the benefits of having my own career
services business. I truly feel I am working my passion; what
I want most for all my clients is that they can find the way to
work theirs, too.
Who I Am Outside My Business
| The proud mother of two adult sons who are healthy,
happy and self-sufficient. |
| The wife of a carpenter who crafts many beautiful
pieces. |
| The sister of a mother who adopted her two foster
children to raise alongside my two nieces - all teen-agers! |
| The best friend of a teacher who works with adult
learners at a community college. |
My Hobbies and Interests
I can't imagine life without being able to read novels, as well
as nonfiction books. I shamelessly love movies, whether going
to a matinee or watching at home. One of my favorites is, "An
American President" with Annette Bening and Michael Douglas, as
well as black and white classics from the 1940s. (Yes, I am a
romantic at heart!)
Some of my favorites: shopping for antiques; walking my dog,
a 12-pound Chinese Crested Powder Puff; cheering for my Kansas
City Chiefs; trying new recipes; discussing politics with my younger
son; and coaching clients from my patio. I have recently discovered
the joy of RV travel with my husband - so many places to visit
and things to see!
My Vision for Life and Work
"Believe in yourself and everything is possible!"
This inspirational saying has guided me for over 20 years and
it symbolizes my commitment to business success. You will see
it posted on every page of the Career Coaching Club
site.

Peggy Knudson joins me as Director, Club Operations.
She helps with projects and details to keep us all on track.
Peggy says, "As we get to know one another, you'll
find I have quite the varied background from being
a Teamster at the age of 18 to running my current business,
Outstanding Virtual Assistance!
"I’ve tasted the working world in small and large
companies: typing freight bills for trucking companies,
Assistant Traffic Manager for a fruit and produce company,
and 91 "dog years" with Microsoft! (OK
13 human years.)
After leaving Microsoft and hitting the road for 4 years
with my husband in an RV, I settled once again and found
something was missing. After soul searching, I determined
what it was – it was YOU! Well, it was the interaction with
others that I was missing. I could volunteer, join nonprofit
organizations, but what I really wanted to do was work with
people who believe in themselves and want to make a difference
to others.
To me, that's a good description of a Coach! I guess
I'm one of those rare individuals that gets a great deal
of satisfaction handling varied administrative business
duties required for any business to be a success.
I truly look forward to working with you!"
